1) Okay, so talking to my new boss today... turns out that Dougie applied for a position at my current firm. Am unclear as to whether it was before or after I applied. Still have to snicker. My new bosses said he applied but they turned him down. They got a very "negative" vibe from him (hee!). Makes it all the more sweet that both Peter and myself did get the job.

Take that, sexist little troll bastard.

2) "Lost"... Hmm does this mean that Gavin is Holland Manners's son-in-law or Angel's? And why the hell does everyone want Kate? (Okay, I realize the answer probably has to do with small island/limited number of hot women. But really... she's starting to annoy me. Not as much as Shannon, mind you. But she's no Scully or Aeryn, that's for damn sure.

3) I'm terribly sorry for ASJ. But... there are insane lunatics in fandom who will try to tear you apart (Unfortunately, I learned that first hand). It isn't and doesn't have to be about politics. It has to do with there being whacked out, crazily vindictive and determined people on-line. Sad, but true.

4) Please tell me that when this goddamned election is over people will find other things over which to beat the shit out of each other.

5) Guh! "All My Children"'s Ethan is gorgeous with his shirt off. *thud*

4) I am so tired of the election. I have deliberately avoided newspapers and news programs for months, and I'm still tired of the election, just from my flist. Please let it go away.

Evangeline Lilly is no Gillian Anderson or Claudia Black. I get the feeling there are supposed to be more layers to the character but she just can't carry it off.

The incendiary rhetoric reached the point of disgusting me quite some time ago. I just hope that when it's over, people will find something else to obsess over.

On that note, I still do like your comments that I've read -- very reasonable.

I try to be... I also try to avoid discussing politics online because I've seen more than one list break into open war and end up with really hurt feelings because of political discussions. People who are perfectly nice under most circumstances can't get along when they end up delving into deep philosophical political divides. It usually results in name calling and hatred. :(
