He was actually at my alma mater while I was there (albeit it was his returning to finish his degree after his (2) professional careers ended. Still, after all that Nike money, once through with his sports career, he returned to finish his degree. His college-level athletic career at my alma mater was before my time, however).
ESPN had a special on him a few months ago ( http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=8710491 ) that was definitely worth watching. He's actually quite the impressive individual, and one who isn't obsessed with money.
And, ESPN has (despite his shortened professional career due to injury) just named him the Greatest Athlete of All Time : Bo Jackson
Greatest Athlete Of All Time: "SportsCenter" and ESPN Sport Science teamed up to determine the greatest athlete of all time, using their unique metric that factors in attributes such as speed, power, reaction time and more. Your votes determined the athlete who would represent each sport and then Sport Science host John Brenkus delivered the results of each matchup, culminating in Bo Jackson overcoming Jim Brown to earn greatest athlete of all time honors. Tune in for a special Greatest Athlete of All Time broadcast on Sunday, March 10 (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). Bo Jackson
