Apparently Dad's valve repair didn't work. :(

They're now insisting on scheduling surgery for a valve replacement and putting Dad through the whole scary, horrible mess again with all of its dangers. Fuck.

And he's probably just now starting to heal and feel better. I'm so sorry you all have to go through this again. Have they scheduled the surgery?

Not yet. Nothing definite yet. He has to go in for another scan to see exactly how the heart is functioning and how much regurgitation is actually taking place. Then he has to see the surgeon again and the surgeon will be the one to take it from there.
