) They start the episode with a previouslies that's sans music. (I figure there will be lots of odd stuff like that in the pre-copy)

2) Eve has a weird voice. She sounds a bit like Potential Amanda.

3) Chosen has some WEIRD edits! Spike is stuck in the light. It bursts out of him (No potentials anywere. Like I said, weird) he dusts a bunch of ubies but you really don't see the ubies before he's dusting them. You just see a bunch of entities being dusted by the light of the amulet. Definitely re-edited).) Buffy runs toward him and does the "You've done enough" and takes his hand. Tearjerk music ... but NO HANDS BURSTING INTO FLAMES! Even though it IS the shot where their hands burst into flames. There's just no flames! (And the no hand flaming -- even though it's the same damn shot!--is followed by the absent "I L Y/ N Y D." --Guess we just imagined all that stuff. (Eyeroll) Spike "I want to see how it ends" and dusts.

4) Lorne tries to assure Spike they won't hurt him. Gunn says "Speak for yourself!" Harmony "What the hell are you doing here." Wesley says he's "William the Bloody" the worst vampire second only to... "Me" says Angel. Then softly "But you're dead"... Spike vamps out and attacks Angel before Angel has a chance to figure out what's happening. Spike ends up standing in the desk. Looks down, then up. "Bugger."

5) Same exact credits as last year including CC and VK (Wonder if that was just for expediency and we'll get new credits.)

6) After the credits Spike is trying not to wig out. Harm thinks he's a ghost, and Spike doesn't like that idea. "I'm no bloody ghost."

7) Spike wants to see Buffy (seems to want to reassure himself that she's okay). Angel is now beginning to get pissy and says she was in Europe (beat) last time he heard from her (guess the Buffster is about as uncommunicative as ever). Angel's not going to let Spike near Buffy. "You can't keep her from me. You have no idea what we had" (something isanely painful where you got your heart broken... a lot?...er... that's my comment.) Angel "You never HAD her." Spike: "More than you." Now Harm wigs out. "Oh my god. You and the Slayer actually...? I mean, I know you had that twisted obsession with her but...ugh! I... ugh!" and she leaves. Spike: "I must be in hell." (LOL) Fred is trying to suss things out. Wes says that Angel told him that Spike was an ally of Buffy's. And that's *all* Angel had told him (guess the "in her heart" thing skipped Angel's mind). JM sounds hoarse. Odd. Wonder if it's supposed to show the wear and tear on Spike from the dusting. He seems rather breathless in the scene (Of course from Spike's POV he was just pulled from the battle to end all battles...for Helm's Deep). Spike/JM is far more flamboyant than the AtSers. (Sound is odd on my computer. Wonder if there's scoring to be done).

8) Skip to lab. Lorne does the riff on how the 2 vampires and the slayer thing is something he could sell to any studio. He sees Depp and Bloom... then again, he sees them a lot (I think we just got a peek into Lorne's fantasy life. LOL!) Wait, no, apparently looks like Depp and Bloom are clients. (it was funnier as the fantasy)

9) Don't like Angel's new hairdo.

10)Spike's still seems pretty traumatised. The "Think I'm hot"
seems a cross between rueful and snark, not really flirting. His description of his death is pretty gruesome. Sounds like it was incredibly painful.

11) Spike's talk about "eternal rest" seems more like carping, not that he's really in deep longing to be dead (and for some reason I'm flashing on Rimmer in Red Dwarf here. Don't know why). Spike isn't really "bragging" about saving the world more like complaining "why am I screwed NOW?!" And pops out of existence. Everyone looks at Angel, and Angel (transparently) tries to blow it off. The "Buffy did most of it" isn't very convincing. Spike pops back in. They want to know where Spike went. He seems almost about to say but can't really bring himself to. Then he appears to divert attention by accusing Angel about bringing the amulet to Sunnydale. Okay, it's pretty funny when Spike says Angel chickened out about wearing the amulet. It does sound like these two have years of arguing between them. :)

12) Hmm...the "I'm not you"..."atonement and destiny" line comes off as... I don't know. It sounds like the whole thing is how it was Angel's job to be hero but because he ran off, Spike had to step up to the plate. It actually seems (to my Spike biased eyes) that there's some censure of Angel in the line. That, sort of like Acathla, this was supposed to be Angel's heroic moment but it was Spike doing the heroics because Angel was elsewhere.

13) LOL! Nice look of shock on Wesley's face when Spike says he's got a soul.

14) Nice shot, Gunn. When Angel says he didn't think the soul was "worth mentioning" Gunn frowns at Angel saying that seems to happen a lot.

15) Okay, Spike is sounding a bit like the artful Dodger here. But it is nice to see Spike smirk again as he watches Angel's discomfort at being caught "witholding info." Everyone seems to look like they think Angel was harsh when he called Spike "Casper," and we get a glimpse of Numero Cinco as mail delivery guy as Angel walks away. Spike following Angel and saying that Angel is running away again, it's a "new" twist seems very much like Angel being haunted by conscience (though later he doesn't seem haunted by the idea that he got Spike killed but more that he is unnerved that this was what was planned for HIM).

16) The "sex-buddy' thing is gone. Harm is now an "ex-tumble"

17) Spike is coming of as Truth Sayer again. In fact... as he's saying that Angel made a deal with the devil, he seems sincere and actually concerned.

18) Angel kills the Groxlar.

19) Okay, one thing for Harm--she is damn funny. Spike isn't actually mean to her... just wanders away. Not storming away. It looks like he's not listening to her. She does still like him though. And (hows this for an odd recurring theme) both Angel and Harm harp on the fact that Spike doesn't open up to people. Pretty odd for a character who is known for walking around with his heart constantly on his sleeve).

20) The script is pretty funny in general so far. (I'm typing comments as I go)

21) Boy Novac is smarmy!

22) Spike is definitely trying to be a pain in the ass. It's cute but could get old.

23) For Days viewers... I think the Butler is Rolfe...

24) LOL! Like the demon that bought the body.

25) Okay, I'm not objective. I'm a Spike fan. All this stuff is coming off in Spike's favor to me. (Though he is really working on PITA, he always seems to be the one pointing out what's right. Of course, I'm biased.)

26) Yep. Definitely playing ye old game of "Is Spike going evil?" Spike is positively EAGER at the concept of hurting Angel.

27) Fred, Fred, Fred -- Boots with a miniskirt?!

28) The Spike/Harm scene is actually cute. When he calls her a "dink" it's more like he's mildly amused and it's not mean spirited at all.

29) "Sad" music when they're talking about exorcizing Spike. Angel seems eager for it until it gets to the sticking point then he wants time to think.

30) Slashers... Angel is shirtless as he walks to bed as Spike shows up (no six pack on DB). God, they are SO playing the slashers. Slashers will go gah-gah over this scene.

31) The "I don't play that side anymore" line is still there before the "I don't trust Hainsley."

32) But to ruin it, the "I can't live like this/I want it to end" line is musical scored to make it sound like Spike is playing Angel with a "good" act.

33) Spike is rather amused at seeing Angel smack himself in the head (I think we've seen more amused Spike in this episode than we have in the last 2 years). But definitely, DEFINITELY playing ye old game of "Did Spike go evil?" plot.

34) Ew! Spike says when he takes Angel's place he gets the cars, the fancy digs, and everyONE I deserve." Ew. I dont like that line and it is specifically stressed so we know who exactly the ONE is we're talking about. Blech. I know he's faking for Hainsley's benefit but still -- ew!

35) LOL! Spike can't help himself. When Angel flinches in the psychic surgery you can see Spike sort of think "Ouch! That's got to hurt..." and then he has to duck his head and hide from Hainsley that he's laughing.

36) Fred is unnerved and perhaps a little scared of Spike at first in the final scene. And for those curious. I'm getting no shippy vibe from the scene.
