GRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so the cable company was scheduled to come to day to fix my damn cable (for the compter). Did they show up? No. So I called the cable company. Turns out they CANCELLED the appointment by "assuming" that when they fixed an area wide outtage that they had fixed my problem. Did they call to ask if my problem had been fixed? No. Did they call to SAY that they were cancelling the appointment? Hell no. When I called, what did they say? "Oh, it's not fixed. I'll schedule you from 1 - 5 tomorrow. But you'll have to wait and see if a LOCAL person calls you back to confirm the appointment" (You never can speak to anyone locally. And did they call to confirm the appointment for tomorrow? Hell no. So, after taking part of this afternoon off for the appointment that they didn't show up for, I now have to take TOMORROW afternoon off (and I have a 3 pm deadline on a project tomorrow so this is just NOT convenient) to wait for their sorry asses to show up (hopefully) tomorrow.

And I'm still on my mother's dial-up account for when I want to hit the web.

They damn well had better pro-rate my bill this time.
