I hit "record" on my DVR when I saw Dark City playing at midnight one night recently. I remembered really liking it when it came out years and years ago. This morning I had time to kill so I'm watching it. This movie is just so cool! So Film Noir and disturbing, complex and strange.
Found this short blurb of it "A man wakes up to find a woman's mutilated corpse in his hotel room. He can't remember if he did it. He can't even remember his own name. Mysterious strangers try to kill him. The police close in on him as he struggles to find out his identity and true love..."
As if that even begins to cover it. That reads like a fairly familiar set up, but the movie is all kinds of odd.
