Happy New Year

I feel like I've been so out of touch during the holidays. I've barely been on the computer at all. Poor fenchurchehad a car accident a couple of days ago and I just found out. (Take care, Fen!)

Around here, things have been fine.

Roll Tide!

We beat Texas Tech in the final moments of the game and won the Cotton Bowl. That made everyone happy.

And we also still have the freaky-warm weather. It was 76 78 degrees today. Lexie (my niece) was looking for a quiet place to read since she had a book report due after the holidays, and I found her laying on a chaise by the pool. The two of us ended up lounging by the pool reading the afternoon away (which isn't quite as warmly luxurious as it sounds. We were actually in jeans with long sleeve t-shirts, but DAMN... a record setting 78 degrees and sunny in January? It seems unnatural. Fortuitous, but unnatural.

Anyway, happy new year, everyone. And, Fen, get well!
