Oh Mighty Isis I remember loving that live action cartoon as a kid. That and Land of the Lost were my favorites. Both are almost certainly cheesy as hell, but whenever people talk about how Buffy was some sort of "first" in action heroines, I keep wondering why they're forgetting the ones I grew up with. Was something really all that wrong with Isis and The Bionic Woman? They might not have kicked demon ass in high heels, but I remember really loving them. Hell I even loved screechyHaleyHolly who had to run from Tyrannasaurs and Sleestaks all the time. And I don't care what anyone says, Sleestaks were scary!)
...and my mother wonders how in the heck I grew up to be a genre fan.
