Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 27th, 2008 01:24 pmI hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (and if you're not American, just pig out a bunch of food and celebrate by proxy).
What I've managed thus far:
Baked a pecan pie last night (combined a new recipe with my old one and I have high hopes for it).
Have turkey in oven.
Have leg of lamb (stuff with mustard and garlic) in oven.
Have yeast rolls ready to pop into oven at last minute.
Mom is making cornbread stuffing.
Sis is making Greek stuffing (not really, really Greek just one made up by my sister's M.I.L. that my B.I.L is convinced is really "Greek stuffing")
And have ginger glazed carrots
and sauteed brussel spouts and pearl onions planned.
That should have us knocked unconscious in no time (ready to try that pecan pie I baked last night).
So... happy pig out day!
