Finally caught up on some stuff that had lingered on the DVR:

*  Modern Family
- Love Phil.  Love him going 'bad cop' and going overboard (because Phil has to go overboard!)  The rest was only okay.

* Cougar Town - Not their best episode, but I love how even divorced Jules and Bobby get along so famously, even with the new boyfriend.  They've managed a very fun and snarky extended family.

* Raising Hope - Love this show.  They're all so demented... and yet oh so good at heart.   Even the workers in the grocery store. Enjoyed the little aside of :

"You'll be working as individuals in a overarching framework to form a team"
"Like Al Queda?"
"I was thinking the Smurfs.."

Weird things amuse me. :)

And loved that Burt just wanted the next door neighbors to be happy and and repeatedly proclaiming that he has 'the cool wife.'    Love the underlying heart of this show.

So my desperate effort to clear my desk (aka get enough done so I won't be a million miles behind schedule when I come back) ... failed.

I don't know what it is about mechanical engineers but if I gave them rooms the size of the Titanic to use, they'd come back asking if I could somehow retro-engineer a floating island... which is to say we have honking HUGE energy recovery units that required that I re-design the mechanical mezzanine which mean changing the truss layout which meant that at after doing all of that by 3:30 this afternoon I had circled around to where I had hoped to start this morning.

So I'll have to go in tomorrow to hopefully finish up what I was doing and to put enough together to keep an intern busy while I'm gone.

*sigh*

I have 5 days of vaction after that, and I plan to sleep.  A lot.  (then come back where it'll be panic mode because we have an impossible deadline and one of the team members had a baby last week (a guy so we aren't talking physical recovery or maternity leave... just desperately preferring to be home with the new baby)  and another is having her wedding in two weeks so... yeah.  This isn't going to be an easy deadline to meet.
