Back to work. Have half-forgotten what was on my desk before Christmas vacation.

And... it's raining again. AGAIN! While looking up the answer as to how much our forecasted 17 degree low tomorrow night varies from the average low (Answer: Average January low is 34 degrees) I not only discovered that while posting lower than average temperatures for December we also managed to post an all-time one day high of 80, AND I also discovered that we had TWICE the normal amount of rain, racking up almost 8" in December. It's rained. A lot. And it's raining yet again.

*Sigh* At least it doesn't bother going to work when it's rainy, gray, and cold outside.

And the Sugar Bowl game is tonight. I really am not a big fan of the way they've spread out the bowl games in the last few years. I mean, it's one thing to push the national championship out a week or so beyond the other bowl games, but this isn't even the National Championship. They've just pushed back regular bowl games this much.

And I sound like a crudmugeon when I say 'When I was a kid, all the bowl games were on New Years Day!"

My nephews and niece went to New Orleans for the came. I couldn't really see the point in the travel, taking the vacation day, and the money involved. But I hope they have fun.

Beyond that, I'm back on my "diet" (which I don't actually view as a diet so much as 'eating healthfully'... which I have not been doing over the holiday. No idea what -- or rather how much -- weight I may have gained over the holiday, but it's best to return to regularly scheduled eating.)

Speaking of, the folks who run "MyFitnessPal" are certainly on the ball as I recieved a text from the Ap this morning about "Starting the New Year right..." Guess they know what everyone's New Year resolutions will be. Weird (but probably smart) that they programmed that into the Iphone Ap.

Stay warm everyone up north in the grips of "Hercules" (How freaking weird is it that the Weather Channel has taken to naming winter storms like hurricanes?)
