Hiding in Fiction
Nov. 15th, 2016 09:31 amSo, horrified with reality (insert copious rage and tears...and despair here), I'm hiding in fictional realities.
* have been enjoying the heck out of Westworld. Fave new show.
* Poldark is irritating me, and not only did Demelza deserve to deck him I wish she could divorce his sorry ass.
*. Read the latest Mary Balogh "Someone to love" and am underwhelmed. It seemed too emotionally removed. Too infatuated with too many relatives, and frankly rather dull.
* Read a series of novellas by JM Madden with injured vets who formed a private investigation agency (and fall in love with various people). Of the ones I've read --disliked the one with the PTSD who left his family to deal with his issues, but enjoyed the ones with the traumatic brain injury, the parapalegic, and the grounded female chopper pilot.
Sorry, world, that the US sucks right now. It does. It really does. :cries:
