Lost Thoughts:

Eh. Too much repetition of the same point in this episode. Yeah, yeah, I get that Charlie felt responsible for his family. And, yeah, we already know that Liam hooked Charlie on drugs then dumped him. We really didn't learn much all in all. Although, if Liam was all that was left of his family, what happened to his Mum? And, yet another character with Daddy issues.

Liked the Hurley/Libby thing. And I betcha Hurley recognizes Libby from the insane asylum. Now the question is, was she a patient, or was she a psychiatrist... and is she connected to the Hansa corp, because she sure was quick to establish that she had been on the plane.

Still... eh eppie.

Project Runway

Daniel is really growing on me. Two weeks ago he sweetly kissed Kara on the cheek when she was having her meltdown. This week he went out of his way to be kind to Nick. Daniel may be quiet but he seems like a nice guy. And this makes him the person who has won the most challenges, doesn't it?

I liked Chloe's dress. I agree with... Kors? Nick needs to get over asymmetrical fishtail hems. They can't all have asymmetrical fishtail hems. Andrae has proved to be more than just a drama queen. This makes around the third outfit that he's produced that's actually a quality outfit. He had some Santino-esque braid on the garment, but it was done tastefully.

Santino. Bwha! Jay called him out on using the exact same fabric as Austin Scarlett. And Austin Scarlett's dress was vastly superior, IMHO. Yet again Santino does short waisted and big skirt. Clue bus, Santino -- women don't like to make their asses and waists look BIGGER than they are.

And poor Tarrah got screwed. She got swapped with Zulema's model. Zulema just got eliminated. Daniel isn't going to choose her over his own model who has done good work for him, and Nick can't get her back. Oh well, with the way things are going Nick isn't going to win anyway so Tarrah didn't get screwed out of a spread in Elle. Nick had better watch it or Andrae is going to take his place in the top three. And Santino? I predict that it's only a matter of time.

I think "Lost" is starting to really have a problem with the repetitiveness of its flashbacks. Last week, I thought maybe it was only Jack, who we managed to learn everything we needed to know about pretty quickly. But I think most of the characters will reach that point sooner or later, and Charlie already did before this episode.

What the hell, I was logged out.

But anyhoo I can't comment on LOST having MISSED the episode since I forgot...

What about that ending close-up of Charlie's face showing the stiches Jack had just put in - they're in the shape of an upside down cross. So, what? Are we meant to see Charlie as the anti-Christ now?

I definitely agree that the flashbacks are starting to become repetitive and therefore (to me) uninteresting. If they aren't revealing something new about the character, they are pointless to me.

The first few episodes I was really impressed with Santinos work, but the more I saw, the more I was like, you just don't get it! His stuff is SO unflattering! Daniel is my current favorite, though I do like Nick.

Good point on Libby (Lost). I've wondered if she is with Hansa also. I think they were all brought to the island so she might have been on the plane but not surprised at the crash (one possibility). I kep remembering that the experiments they referred to on the film were mainly psychological and here's a psychologist amongst the group....hum......

I was slightly disappointed by no real "WTF" moments and no real fleshing out of Charlie or Claire, etc. I did like the way they pointed out that no one questioned Kate's sobriety and drug free status when she saw the horse, etc. Good point, Charlie! (Notice how there is one person picked as the one they are all suspicious of....it was Sawyer but he's okay for now so it becomes Charlie).

Unless it was just a writers oops I doubt Eko is a priest because his theology on the John the Baptist story is not Catholic in the least (or mainstream protestant either).

Santino has been so luck that every week some other designer seems to crash and burn and save him. But I'm thinking only Kara stand between him and elimination now.

Heh! Totally missed that.

Guess it probably had to do with what Locke said, Charlie can't save himself.

Well, he isn't a priest. His brother was. He's just assumed the role out of guilt at getting his brother killed in the drug smuggling scheme, isn't he?

I think that's it but they did mention that a good deal of time had passed and it would have been possible for him to have joined the priesthood, especially to atone for his brothers death. I don't think so though. I really like this character (and the actor as well).

Lost has hit that mid-season blah period that seems to plague a lot of arc shows. They don't have enough story to last a whole season and have to pad it out with filler. I suppose this is an important setup for Charlie snapping later in the season, or something, but I think that we should have gotten more about Jack's plans instead of those flashbacks.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with Charlie, because he just keeps doing really stupid things. (Not that he's alone in that.) But I have to say they're doing a good job at portraying that "It's someone else's fault" syndrome I've seen in several addictive personalities I've known.
