It's the bestest point ever in the series' timeline for this story -- so rife with possibilities. Just brilliant. And your character voices are spot on. Spike is drunk and heartbroken and absolutely adorable, poor baby.

I love the set-up for this story and am absolutely dying to see more. Which poses a big problem, since I'm also posting my story as a WIP and should really finish that before sneaking a peek at any of the other ficathon entries. But since this was written for me, I couldn't resist. Besides, to wait would just be ... well ... rude. Yeah. That'll work. I could never be so rude.
