Well, if it's the site pulling their hair out because of the nuttily obsessive way that fowl are deleting cookies to erase positive comments and to keep a bad rating - I laugh.

Ducks' essay is still there. I just went and read it. It's good to know that there are two groups of fans: casual viewers and Spikistas, and that all casual viewers were disgusted by Spike's actions in S6.

Geez, I had no idea that things were so black and white in the Buffy fandom -- where have I been for the past however many years?

Sort of blows out of the water the existence of my friend Stephanie who was only a casual viewer but who loved Spike and totally blew off Seeing Red as idiocy by the writers.

The majority of "casual viewers" whom I've ever talked to about the Spuffy relationship found it enjoyable, fascinating and interesting. On the AR, they found it compelling that Spike did not rape Buffy and that he went and got a soul as penance. That or they had a big bunch huh? and pretty much disregarded it as just another facet of the fucked-up relationsihp

What rock did Ducks crawl out from under? I can't help but question whether her blinders just so effective that she can totally ignore facts that do not support her position or whether she's just a liar.

I know -- I read that, too. I'm just trying to click on Nirvana's as much as possible so that it's getting plenty of hits also.

Ducks' essay is just amazing, though -- same old anti-Spike/Spuffy spite dressed up with some academic language. Still the same old shit -- a pig dressed up in fancy clothes.
