Hey, Heroes knows how to do sweeps month! Tonight's ep totally got me. It was awesome in many respects. Great character development. Wonderful gray shirts. A hero becoming a hero. Flashbacks that drive the story forward and...well... squeeworthy moments.

So Horned Rimmed Glasses Guy/Claire's Father turns out to be a gray shirt, but a gray shirt who totally loves his Claire. Awwww. He got me when he had the Haitian shoot him so that Claire could get away. Then poor Claire sobbing and saying that she loved her Dad. I'm a total chump. It completely got me. It made me love both Claire and Horned Rimmed Glasses Dad.

And so much to squee about in the episode.

Dr. Who...er... Claude, used to be in on the conspiracy! (Serious X-Men vibes in his story). And HRGDad didn't want to kill him (and we know from Claude's comments that he holds a grudge).

And the Rooftop Balcony of Destiny just keeps on showing up! It's where Claire was given to HRG Guy!

And ... OMG, cute little Hiro! And his Dad is part of the conspiracy!!!

And has Matt be drafted into the conspiracy with this one? Is he going to be HRG Guy's new partner (since the company will want to keep and eye on HRG Dad?)

Finally, the trailer. Simone better be dead, damnit! I mean, seriously, Simone better be DEAD!

On a slightly different note, my little gen fic Fire and Ice won a Forbidden Award

Thanks! I'm flattered.

And it only occurred to me this ep that the invisible guy is Claude, because... Claude Raines!

That was a faboo episode, and cements my opinion that Claire is going to be a Buffy-quality hero.

Congratulations on the award!

And I hope Matt does become HRG's partner, because there's never enough Matt for my tastes. :)

And now the question has to be raised - is Hiro's Dad - Hiro's Dad? And does the phrase "Save the cheerleader, save the world" mean keeping her away from Eric Roberts and his merry men? So much salty goodness!
And congratulations on the award.

Congratulations on the win! Well deserved. I really enjoyed Fire and Ice when I read it.

Alas, I cannot discuss Heroes, as I haven't watched it yet. Tonight, I'll remedy that. :)

I think hooking up Matt and HRG as partners would work really well in keeping both characters involved in the story and in using Matt's police background.

And they're both sort of morally challenged, with Matt leaning towards good and HRG leaning a little more the other way, which should set up some interesting tension.

That was a great episode. There was so much in it and I was pulled in different directions. This is truly a great show kind of a cross between x-men and The Tomorrow People(BBC import show)
