How does anyone watch this show and not cry? Poor Tyra. That attack was so sudden that it really was frightening. They took all the energy and tension in the game and funneled it into the near rape that poor Tyra was fighting against. I'm glad she fought her way out. As much as I was rooting for Landry to show up -- because goddamn, I didn't want to see that girl raped-- I was even more thrilled that she rescued herself. I hope she broke that bastard's arm. The shot of her breaking down in shock when Landry found her in the rain had me choking back tears. And the parting shot of Landry quietly holding her hand as she cried was utterly heartbreaking.

Also loved Smash's confrontation with Waverly. I thought he handled that as well as could be exected. Tami and Eric and the cows was pretty damn funny. Lila kicking Jason's ass into gear was also wonderful. And Jason's outrage at the courthouse was also well done. All in all, another excellent show.

And as a wonderful feel-good moment, last week's boy bonding scene . Wish whoever had clipped it had carried it all the way through to the "That's so Brokeback" scene, because that was classic. Although, [livejournal.com profile] bigboobedcanuck screencapped it. All together now, awwwwwwww.

Best.Episode.EVER.

I'm not even joking. This ep was pitch perfect with a HUGE payoff. Of course Street is going to coach, Smash and Waverly are gonna work it out and hell's bells, Lila went and got her bff, Street off his ass and she was Fierce. I want more Waverly/Lila and the shotguns. They are my OT4.

Also, Tyra has done broke my heart. I want her and the geek to be in love forever.

I love this show with every fiber of my tv-lovin' heart. It surpases my love of Angel, which I never thought could happen.

I want to be Kyle Chandler's hairdresser. That's how much I love this show.

I seriously need them to dump this Riggins plotline because it is marring an otherwise perfect show. Everytime that damn kid or his mom shows up, I cringe.

But yeah, the attack on Tyra was just awful. I pretty much had the painful sob in the throat throughout that scene. I honestly don't think I could've taken it if she hadn't gotten away. The actress did an amazing job there too, because I was terrified for her.

Yeah, the MILF storyline is squicky. Although, truth is, I could see how that would come about what with his being totally lacking in parental figures and sort of family free, and on her part, he is the extremely hot kid next door. Billy is absolutely right, this will not end well.

And the attack on Tyra was terrifying and heartbreaking. Poor girl.

Yeah, this show manages to have so many characters who are all beautifully written, flawed and lovable all at once. That's just so very, very rare I feel compelled to watch and marvel.

It's not even the squickiness for me. It's that I really can't stand that kid, and that they've managed to make the storyline so horribly boring. I totally agree that it's in character for Tim though. And as a big Tim/Tyra shipper, I gotta love the parallelism of both of them searching for family to call their own...Tim by banging the single mom and Tyra by hoping the Taylors adopt her. Aw kids, you're so very meant to be.

Right, unless you're going, "Why the hell are they still at the restaurant? Why aren't they at the police station? Are the cops all at the football game, too?"

That just ruined the end for me.

Except I can buy that given Tyra's background with her mother's abusive boyfriends and such, that Tyra isn't a "call the police first" type of person. Landry would be. Maybe he talks her into it.

It's just a damned shame that it's on the same time as Bones, which is another show that's really stepping up. I have to say, I've really been enjoying it this year. Especially Ryan Neal as Bones' Dad. That is just fifteen shades of crazy. And Stephen Fry as Booth's shrink?

Wednesday 8/7 cst is a killer time slot right now. They oughta put FNL in the monday 8 and move Heroes to 9, but hey, they never listen to me anyway. Angel would have gotten a S6 and Buffy would have stayed in heeaaavvveeennn!
