shipperx: (Heroes - Hiro)

Hee! Yes, this show is dippy, but I don't care. It's simply fun.

Yeah, yeah it's somewhat predictable, but even if the happy payoffs are predictable, I don't care. It's nice to have them! I loved Claire telling Nathan that she already had a family [with the Bennets]. I loved the heroes crossing paths and coming together. I loved Hiro saving Ando (because, dude, Ando had to be saved!) I loved Horned Rimmed Glasses Guy casually revealing his name [Noah] and the fact that he and his Claire-bear are together again at the end. Also the way it felt so very not true when Mamma Petrelli said that he wasn't Claire's father. Oh, yeah Mamma Petrelli, he most certainly IS! Glad that the Nikki/Jessica thing is resolved with there only being one of them. D.L. didn't seem to die, so yay for that (I like D.L.). Molly seems determined to hang onto Mohinder, so maybe she can be the brains of the outfit. Peter isn't going to be dead because you know he can regenerate (though, one would think it difficult to regenerate after having been vaporized. But... still. Not dead.) And Sylar was given a suitable 'death... or is he dead' ending.

The only thing in the finale that actually bothered me was Simone's father giving Peter the "all you need is love" speech, because that just isn't as profound as they think it is.

And finally, the cliffhanger. Whee! Time travel to distant past! Oh, the fannish, geeky fun! [I'm assuming next season will be origin stories, and perhaps some Dark Shadows-ish possibilities of the same actors playing their own ancestors for an episode or two. After all, who says that medieval Japan is the only place in the past that Hiro can go?) And then there's Molly's ominous mention of another Big Bad. It may not be profound, but it's pop-corn good fun, and that's what I want from Heroes. Not a perfect finale, but certainly light-years more enjoyable than 24s. All in all, I'm happy.

As long as Mohinder keeps speaking with that lovely voice, I'm happy :)

Oh, Mohinder brings the pretty in many ways. He may not be the brightest bulb in the box but he's oh-so-pretty and nice, so I think they need to keep him. :)

LOL, as he was narrating in the beginning, I told Ken that a lot of people hate him, but I'm ok with him. I didn't realize I was under the spell of the voice. :)

Well, Mohinder isn't particularly smart, but damn he's pretty. I can't hate that much pretty. (Yes. I can be just that shallow sometimes. :)

Hey, regeneration after atomic disintegration is a comic staple - just ask Dr. Manhattan.

I actually have no real idea what to expect - it excites me.

How long to the DVD set?

Hee! Remember when we used to hang out in the gutter and Missi would serve tea? And I swear, this icon came up randomly!

Maybe Mohinder DOES have a power, after all? It's just very very subtle and works best as narration ;)

And do his voiceovers really make any less sense than Mulder's? :)

Hell no! :)

I think my high tolerance for pretentious voice overs bookending an episode is my unashamed XF nostalgia.

Behold. The power of pretty.

(I think I'm going to have to make an icon for that).

I'm pretty much operating under the assumption that Peter will be back somehow, someway. Though, it probably wouldn't be a bad thing to scaleback and limit his powers. Being able to do everything sort of reminds me of the website that bitched about the old Superfriends cartoon and how they kept forgetting that Superman could pretty much do anything. It's hard to keep up with that many powers.

Maybe if he manages to come back, he'll only be able to absorb powers for a limited time?

I don't care. I want my Peter back. ::pouts::

Peter isn't going to be dead because you know he can regenerate (though, one would think it difficult to regenerate after having been vaporized.

I don't think he'd be vaporized though. Just because he's the center of the explosion, doesn't mean he literally blows apart, just that he's generating the power for the explosion. Plus we already know he can survive exploding, because he did in the alternate future.

And Sylar was given a suitable death... or is he dead, ending.

As far as I could tell, only Linderman was officially dead, the rest of them were "mostly dead". And I'd like both Petrelli brothers to come back if only to smack the daylights of out Mama, who [livejournal.com profile] asta77 rightly pointed out has a distinct resemblance to Angela Lansbury in the Manchurian Candidate.
It was a lot of fun, it had a nice, brisk pace - I'm happy.
