Nick Saban told a story Thursday at SEC Media Days about one of his administrative assistants attending a wedding in Baton Rouge and having her tires slashed.

Saban used the story to illustrate what he called the "backlash" against him in Louisiana since he took the Alabama job.

An LSU official said Friday the story isn't true.

LSU assistant AD for sports information Michael Bonnette, in town for SEC Media Days, said the assistant found her four tires flat after the wedding, not slashed.


Er.  The sustantive difference would be?    Four flats for a secretary doesn't equal an OTT "backlash"?
