That big killer project that had me working nights and weekends before Thanksgiving came back with a vengeance when the project made it through state approval in a stunning amount of time (seriously, it usually takes the state 60 days to even look at a project. To review it and send back an approval in a couple of weeks is unprecedented!) And, for all that this was a "good" thing, the super-fast approval also meant that we didn't have the month and a half of time we needed to fine tune the set... which means that since Thanksgiving, we've been working nights and weekends again trying to fine tune the set so that we can send the building out for bids.

All of which is to say that few weeks have been a bitch with late hours and short weekends, but we finished the set this afternoon! Yippee! What's more, tomorrow is the day of the Christmas party, which usually means that we only hang out doing not much of anything for a few hours in the morning, then go to my boss's house around lunch and have a party after which we don't go back to work... until the day after New Years! Yippee!

And now I'll finally have some time to get my Christmas shopping done.

(Yeah, I know, Christmas shopping the weekend before Christmas will be hell, but I simply have not had time to do any Christmas shopping until now. But, hey, at least I can now get into the Christmas spirit at warp speed.)
