Okay so some romance writer that I don't recognize recaps the scandal  but apparently is unaware that Fandom_Wank has been tracking it (with more snarking!)  as the scandal has progressed from Cassie Edwards ripping off out-of-copyright non-fiction, to passages from an old Pulitzer to ripping off Longfellow .

Oh my.  LKH, Anne Rice, and Cassie Clare had better look out, another author is moving into their wank territory.

I've never heard of Cassie Edwards, but the *snark*!!!

Cassandra Clare (Claire?) is still writing, isn't she? Or, should I say, still stealing?

You've probably seen Cassie Edwards' books in the grocery store. Her books are the ones that picture the Native American men & white women The word "savage" and "captive" are often in the title. My krogers had three CE books in stock tonight. They seem to always haveat least one.

I just commented about this on another journal, but you know how Nora Roberts is accussing someone of plagerism? Well, I was just reading her 'Circle' Trilogy and one of the characters is a vampire and she TOTALLY stole some dialogue from Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

It looks like it's close, but probably not close enough to accuse plagerism.

I can understand Nora Roberts's prickliness on the issue though since about a decade ago Janet Daily lifted entire chapters from Roberts, so if she's a bit tetchy, I can see it.

Yes, that sounds familiar - I'll take a look at the authors' name the next time. Thank you!

Hee. Even as a teen I thought her stories sucked and then there's the repitition of titles --

Savage Dawn
Savage Flames
Savage Glory
Savage Wind
Savage Skies
Savage Rage
Savage...

Exactly how many things can she pair with 'Savage' before she produces her ultimate epic - 'Savage Savage' ?

Hee! Yeah, I think that was the bit that initially got her caught. Then they just kept finding more and more stuff that she... "borrowed."
