Have I mentioned that Lost is really rocking this season? Whee! And... whoa!

Free-flowing thoughts while watching:

*Jate flirting. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Have I ever mentioned that I hate Jate? The smug. It's suffocating!

* Ben is a bad-ass action hero. Wha..?

* Red shirts bite the dust. Bite the dust a lot. Wow, where did all these red shirts come from?

* Sawyer tries to be a hero! Hee! 'Course the bad guys stopped shooting when the redshirts were dead, giving Sawyer the chance to save Claire without he and Claire being killed.

* Did Sayid say he had/lost a wife?

* Bad guys walk up and ring the doorbell?

* It's Miles. (Who is almost as creepy as Ben).

* So this flash-forward is post-island but pre-Sayid flashback episode. Sayid did say he had a wife. She was murdered. And it was Nadia! This is clearly the explanation for how Sayid became Ben's assassin.

* Yeah, bad guy Marine. Like Ben gives a shit about any of the other characters. Riiiight.

* Ben is going to stand by and watch Alex killed, isn't he?

* Why, yes. Yes, he did.

* So, why exactly is Miles sticking around, huh? Isn't he from the ship, too? One would think he'd be high tailing it out of there just like Ben.

* Aw. Poor Sayid. And I liked Nadia too. How tragic.

* And Ben walks away smirking, so was it a set-up? Did Ben kill Nadia to force Sayid into becoming his assassin? Sick, twisted bastard.

* Did Ben unleash the smoke monster?

* Yes. Yes, he did.

* Oh so, now Miles runs? But, again, isn't Miles one of the ship-people? Wouldn't he know the people that Ben just killed?

* And does this mean that Ben had control of the smoke monster all along? Doesn't that mean he's guilty of murdering everyone that the smoke monster has killed? Poor Mr. Eko.

* Jack, even when you're right, you still seem like an ass.

* I feel more sorry for Juliet and her single "I knew it" bitter smile than I do for Jack's 'angst'. How wrong is that?

* Sawyer, don't turn your back on Locke and Ben. Don't do it.

* Knew Locke and Ben wouldn't just let them go.

* Oh, poor Hurley, volunteering to go with Locke and Ben so that Sawyer can take Claire and turnip-head back to the beach.

* Oh, Sawyer, you're never going to make it off this island, are you? I know you have "deadmeat" all but tattooed on your forehead. But, I bet you'll kill Locke, first.

* Mystery suite has a Cezanne in the foyer.

* Ben is going to try to kill Penelope, isn't he? Eye for an eye with Widmore for Alex's death.

* Knew it! Knew it! Ben vows to kill Penelope. Duh!

* What rules and why can't Ben kill Widmore? Is Widmore one of 'them'?

Freakay!

Trailer for next week: Juliet, no fair making promises for things that won't happen. We already know that Jack won't die!

ETA: Ugh! Thought! Ben is going to try to trick Sayid into killing Penelope for him, isn't he?!

I'm so confused. What rules? Are they playing a game of Risk for world domination???

Sawyer is going to live and have blonde-haired babies with Claire, one of whom will be named Charlie.

Did Ben go on that trip to Tunisia, Iraq, and England when he disppeared for a few minutes through that hatch?

As good an explanation as any. Are they trying to be demi-gods?

Aw. That's a sweet thought.

Then he possesses some serious wormhole technology! Where's Scorpius? He could outsmart Ben and kick his ass!

Wasn't he even dirtier and more messed up when he came back from the secret room? I think the implication was that he went through a wormhole to the future.

I'll have to go back and look.

Certainly time travel is a possibility what with all the time anomalies going on.

Possibly, but when he showed up in the desert he was wearing a parka. I suppose he could have got that out of the closet. Obviously getting off the island involves time stretching or snapping somehow, so it could have happened that way - we knoe that Ben's crew had some way of getting back to the mainland at will. There's no way he was telling Sayid the truth about anything.

Ben is horrible, but he's fast becoming the most interesting character on the show. Hurley, OTOH, just plain rocks.

Wait! We saw Nadia before? When? I don't remember her.

Well...there's no saying he didn't go through another station where he donned a parka. I was reminded of that polar bear, frankly. But he probably just went through to get Smoky all fired up. And is it my imagination or did Smoky seem much more vindictive than I remembered?

I need to watch the ep again. Did Sayid refer to looking for Nadia for 8 years? Does that mean they were off the Island for 8 years or was he counting some other period of time pre-Island?

Yes, the thing with the doctor is pretty interesting.

I've decided that he was just turning on Smoky when he left the group, though. Maybe we'll see when he leaves the Island in the finale.

Well, shit. I forgot that Lost was back with new episodes. Oh well, I'll just catch up when they load the episode to the website.

Way back. Season 1 or 2. She was the freedom fighter (a Kurd, maybe?) that Sayid was assigned to torture when he was in Sadam's army. He and Nadia had been childhood friends, and as a child he'd had a crush on her. He ended up killing another guard and helping her escape before she was to be executed. When he left Sadam's army, he was on a quest to find her (since she had escaped the country) because he was in love with her. He carried her picture in Season 1.. He (apparently) was captured by the CIA before he had found her.

I see. Okay, I didn't watch a lot of Season 2 so I guess I missed it. Oops.

Heh. When the survivors we'd never seen before got killed, I exclaimed "Red Shirts!"

Poor Alex. The last thing she ever heard was her father reouncing her. Of course, he was trying to play a bluff that didn't work, but still, it's harsh.
