Holding the cat. She got startled. She jumped... and scratched the ever living shit out of my chin. Have no idea how I'm going to explain a big scratch on my chin tomorrow (jumping cat sounds stupid.)
Been there and done that myself. Just put on the Betadine and just go on. My mother had the opposite with our cat Lilith the other day, she was getting under the bed to get at other cat's food. Which is a big no no, because our she will gobble everything in site up. So my mother couldn't get to a hold of other, than her tail. And pulled her out. Well apparently my mother really hurt her, and Lilith actually hissed and nipped at me and my mother. First time she has ever done it, poor thing. I asked my mother please don't do that again. Lilith is about as sweet and unbitey as you get. Hopefully she will get it over it. I mean sometimes with a cat, if you really have to get them, the tail is the only way. Especially if the cat gets into something that can hurt them. That I have had to do. Done it to the dog too. He almost got burnt by spilled grease once, split second choice, tail was the thing I could get too. And I pulled. He wasn't happy, but he didn't get burnt either.
