Dawn's disappearance and Berris' desperate search being conveyed through a series of months old voice mails was an excellent plot device and Buffy's desperate response was pitch perfect. Lindsey is also pitch perfect - smug and in control even with a blade his throat.

Buffy's need to get Dawn back is making this reunion with Spike easier. The Cliffnotes backstory of what Spike has been up to isn't giving an explanation for not making contact, but working together will give plenty of opportunity for that gap to be filled in.

I can't believe Lindsey would want to remind Spike of the Cup of Perpetual Torment debacle, but Spike's reaction to Lindsey's presentation was fantastic.

This is sharply written and very entertaining.
