So...

BSG cast a soap actor,specifically Days of Our Lives ex-Mike Horton for a guest starring role. (Not "The Pretender" Mike Horton, and not "Land of the Lost" Mike Horton, but the most recent blond one). I swear it distracted the hell out of me. At first I kept going "Is that Mike Horton? That sure looks like Mike Horton. I think that's Mike Horton" (The lighting was so dark it took a while for me to be certain, because he was looking a tad scruffier than Blonde Mike... which isn't a bad thing. Made him look a lot more masculine and less shrimpy than I remembered.

Of course my primary memory of Blonde Mike Horton is one of the unintentionally funniest damn scenes ever to appear on a soap -- good lord, the flying bed of adulterous flowery orgasms. And, BTW, I mean that literally. The bed freaking FLEW and there were flowers... and I just know that clip is on YouTube somewhere and I can't find it.

So, yeah, there's some cognitive dissonance in Mike Horton and BSG.

OMG That IS Mike Horton!!!

I spent the entire ep last night trying to figure out where I'd seen him before.

And thanks for the image of the flying bed. And with that, I remember why the show is going downhill.

It took me a while to figure it out as well. I kept staring at him but they wouldn't give a clear shot of him for most of the episode.
