The were pre-promoting (or something) the show "Glee" tonight... it was surprisingly engaging.

In other news, have re-painted kitchen. Yes, again. I had loved the yellow that I had in the kitchen and so when renovating, I had simply used another gallon of the same color. Unfortunately, the swap from the light floor to the dark slate totally changed things and what looked good before looked disjointed and 'busy' now. So, another gallon of paint (this one called "Wool Fleece") and I'm liking it much, much more. After all, when renovating the kitchen it probably should look different, and I've had the "Prarie Grass" color for about ten years.

I have slate too; it really does change how the color reflects! I assume "Woool fleece" is off-white?

I was wondering whether or not to try "Glee" and see if I liked it -- it looks kinda cute and silly and fun.

Was that the pilot last night? If so, I missed it and will have to catch up...

They made a point of advertising that it would be available online all summer, so check FOX.com and Hulu. It'll probably show up on both.

And I thought it was suprisingly fun and light. And, using (a totally unrealistic) glee club as the premise makes the musical aspect far more comprehensible than, say... Cop Rock (which was out and out CRACK!)

I'd watch it again to see how it develops.

LOL! I will! I promise. I'm just waiting until I have the counter and backsplash in. Which... I haven't bought yet. :)

I was also surprised by Glee...sad that I guess it won't be back on for a while :0/

Yep. Indeed it is. Difficult to describe the undertone of it, but it's basically off white. But it does work so much better with the slate than the "Prairie Grass" did. It was about time for a change anyway. :)

You can see the entire episode at the link below (without having to download it or join the site) for the next 21 days:

I really enjoyed it; it was cute and quirky in a "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" sort of way, and the scenes were all very brief and humorous and hopped from one place to another without becoming confusing. Loved the glee club's performance at the end...and the jazz club members and their funky hats kicked all kinds of ass.
