they sure are making the whole Eric/Sookie thing more about the blood than any sort of consensual relationship.

I really did not like this finale. It was sluggish, boring and focused on all the wrong characters. The only thing that was mildly interesting was Sam's encounter with his adoptive mother and father, and how he's now obviously going to search for his [awful] birth parents. This unfortunately is not enough to keep me engaged.
I think I'm done with this series for the foreseeable future. I don't give a damn about Bill and Lorena, and the upcoming characters from the book are equally uninteresting. Eric is going the way of S7 Spike and Godric is dead, so there's nothing compelling about the series anymore.
