It's LOST, need we even say WTF any more? :D

* Kind of loved Ben's eulogy for Locke "John Locke was a believer, a man of faith, and a much better man than I will ever be," (beat) "And I'm very sorry that I murdered him."

* Lepidus gets brownie points by following this statement with "Weirdest damn funeral I've ever been to." Hee!

* Oh Sawyer, you're in deep shit now.

* So is sideways verse really what would have happened, if there had been no Jacob?

* And call me crazy, but I don't think anyone should be trusting either Jacob or Smokemonster.

* So the numbers were people?

ETA: Oh! And the Old Spice "The man your man could smell like" commercials were AWESOME!

I suppose the numbers could be seat assignments, although I'd have to actually look at where everyone was sitting to know that.

The thing is though, without Jacob wouldn't Locke have died from that fall? I kinda got the impression that Jacob brought him back to life.

I thought the numbers were seat numbers, too.

I'm loving Lost this season, but I'm still confused as hell as to what's going on.

I was wondering that, too, then I remembered that line tonight by Helen: "let's get my parents and your dad and do a shotgun wedding in vegas." That would imply that, however Alternaverse Lock injured his spine, probably it wasn't because his dad shoved him out a window. So maybe he didn't need to be brought back to life (and not being betrayed as badly by is dad might explain why in some ways Alterna-Locke seems less angry than Locke we saw in previous flashbacks)

Sawyer is totally screwed if Smokey needed a Locke meat suit to murder Jacob, he obviously needs a Candidate suit to get out and right now he looks to wear a model J Ford.

I wonder if it'll be screwed up for him if the model in question is going by Sawyer.

Oh, I missed that line! Yeah, so maybe it was the car accident (he was in a car accident, too, wasn't he? I can't remember).

Yeah, it probably wasn't coincidental that what's-her-name said that Smokemonster was stuck as Locke. And running kid said that he wasn't allowed to kill Sawyer (but, what was to prevent Sawyer falling to his death, I wonder? Would that have counted as 'killing'?) Smokey could be planning a change of identity.

Oh Sawyer, you're so screwed!

Unless the only way for MIB to go home is to stop someone 'substituting' for Jacob? So MIB is trying to recruit anyone who could be a candidate???

If the ALT is what would have happened if Jacob hadn't touched anyone, wouldn't it have affected Locke only from the point at which he would have been touched???

Yeah. I thought about that and... I don't know. It seems really unlikely that Locke's dad would've changed even post-shoving. And Locke's fiance mentioned his Dad. So... erm... Dunno.

[Fanwank]I suppose the Jacob-touch only effects things in Lost-verse Prime. And the reboot is not only sans Jacob but sans island entirely since the 1970s... Or maybe it's a cascade effect. Jacob touched Sawyer (whose parents Locke's father killed) prior to touching Locke so it was changed way back when...[/fanwank]

Dunno. They only gave us enough info to tease us. :)

Recruit or eliminate. I have serious suspicions that "getting off the island" entails "killing everyone."

Although I don't think that Sawyer being different would necessarily affect Cooper in his relationship with Locke...OMG my head hurts.

Ok, I can go with the idea that once that changed, other things changed as a result because it just wasn't removing Jacob from specific events but that we also have to deal with all the unintended consequences.

Unless we find out the ALT wasn't actually caused by the bomb.

I think this season is starting to annoy me already.

Yeah. So when the kid warned Flocke about the rules, he was warning him not to kill Sawyer? I wasn't sure if it was that or a reference to not killing Jacob (sort of a guilty conscience haunting a la Macbeth).

Even if Kill is an option, I think he has to be accepted first. If touch was enough he could have let Sawyer drop when he caught his hand. He'd already got touch that way. If free will vs destiny is the thing acceptance has to be a key mechanism. It was in Richard's bunch accepting FLocke as Leader, which let him manipulate ex-Leader Ben into killing Jacob.
