Supernatural - Have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] queenofattolia that SPN writers have been making it pretty clear this season that they read/love Neil Gaiman.  First, lifting Crowley and eerily similar depictions of some of the Four Horsemen  from Good Omens and this latest episode revisiting American Gods.  What's next?  A shadow world in a subway system

Still, it's enjoyable, so I'm not actually complaining. Just smiling a bit ruefully.

Vampire Diaries - You know, I think I'd be more interested in Stefan's blood addiction if I hadn't recently seen that premise carried off brilliantly in Being Human and knew that there's no way that a fluffy teen supernatural soap could do it half as intelligently. Although, was it me, or was the scene in the woods with the red shirt female sort of a rif on Twilight (S.Meyer version.)  Red Shirt female seemed like someone who had read far, far too much S.Meyer.  I kind of liked that scene. ::is embarrassed::

Fanfic
And I try to resist the lure of ficathons (I'm still buried in a ficathon WIP I started years ago!) but I don't think I can resist this one  BtVS comic snark? Oh yeah.  Plus, I totally have ideas for Fred explaining how having sex in space is in no way a good idea.

Hehehe, maybe the brothers will run into the endless next season :). At least they steal from good places.

I was also reminded of American Gods last night.
