I think I love Talbot. He's hilarious. And did like the King cutting Talbot's arguments off with "Darling... King." Heh.

Poor Tara. Franklin Mott is terrifying. And honestly, she won't be safe unless he's dead.

Terry looks so damn happy that you just know he's going to have his heart shattered in a million pieces.

Sookie is more interesting around Alcide. Which doesn't mean that I think they have any chemistry, just that in this storyline she has a bit more spunk than usual. I do think there's nice chemistry (thus far) with Lafayette and Jesus. Jesus is pretty. And Lafayette is all bashful with him. Awwww.

Hoyt is dating TBBT Wolowitz's girlfriend! And I guessed that Sam's little brother was going to be there to cause problems with Jessica and Hoyt... like they don't have enough already.

So I guess we know why Eric and Godric were hunting werewolves in WWII.

You know, this sets up a great grudgewank, and makes Eric a king as well.

Wonder what type of territorial pissing match this will lead to.

And Cooter needs to die a hideous death.

And so this vampire king and queen betrothal, where does that leave Talbot? Scorned lovers are always good for crazycakes drama.

OMG, THAT's who she was! It was driving me crazy.

I hated this episode for the most part (which means I saw only about 6 minutes of it), but I've decided that my very favorite part was Russell dressed as a Nazgul in Eric's Flashback of Bad Wigs. That Alan Ball. So clever.

The vampire craziness definitely got ramped up several notches between crazy, lovesick Franklin, about to be homicidal Erik, Talbot being shoved aside for the crazy Queen and Russell just being Russell.

And I found I was a little more forgiving of Sam's dull family since I read some spoilers. And yes, I can see Tommy getting in the way of Hoyt and Jessica.

As always, thoroughly entertained by this episode, though the switch back to pussywhipped!Bill shouting for his Sukkeh was an extremely boring turn about. Just when I thought I might start to like him, he has to go and re-create the Buffy and Angel angst of season 3. DO NOT WANT. In other news, due to vague, amorphous book spoilers I heard from maybe a year ago, they might be setting Bill up for some kind of fall. I predict Eric will be the one to kill Russel (you don't set up a 1000 year + vendetta without payoff), unless Talbot gets that pleasure.

The flashback was a fun adventure in Middle Earth, and I enjoyed it, along with the bad wigs. I still really, really like Eric's story and the reemergence of his humanity, and could possibly fall for him like I did Spike. Pity Sookie isn't half as charismatic or as fascinating as Buffy, guaranteeing there never will be the same magic that makes Spuffy so wonderful.

Franklin is basically all of William the Bloody's bad parts on crack. He's basically a diehard Bangel fangirl's badfic approximation of Spike, character bashing and all. The good news is the actor is taking this and running with it - knocking the batshit behavior with Tara out of the park. Once again, True Blood has the mysterious ability to thoroughly entertain me while completely squicking me out.

And Jason's desk job montage? Perfect, if a bit of a waste of time. Wonder what supernatural being sweet little Reese Witherspoon-esque Crystal's gonna turn out to be?

Much love for the supporting cast and their interpersonal relations. Sympathy for Sam. Happy for Lafayette, and worried they'll drag out a long separation for Jessica and Hoyt, complete with rebounds with Tommy and Wolowitz's girlfriend.

And Terry. Poor, poor Terry. He's gonna get Joss'd for being so happy (I know that's the incorrect usage of Joss'd, but go with me here).

That was much more fun than last week.

In a completely cracky way.

I am having to turn off my history brain though as the Viking kingdoms were highly consolidated a thousand years ago and Kinge Ericsdaddy would have been both historical and comanding much more wolf killable warriors in his hall.

Though I was squicked by the escaping black girl in period costume being chased by canines in front of plantation house. I hope she gets to turnaround the victimisation at some point.

I think I love Talbot. He's hilarious.

Talbot is such a wonderful character, and brings a bit more humour to the show, which I like.

I was glad to see Tara start to fight back a bit this week. Franklin Mott is one scary character!

I loved Lafayette and Jesus. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them.
