Yeah. I meant that Buffy could use a therapist, but NOT the relationship Erica has with Dr. Tom. So when you're comparing Buffy and Erica, Erica is probably doing better because she has a support system - which is what Buffy needs, just not in the form of a mentor.
I love Erica/Dr. Tom, too (except I don't ship them! Those people are strange to me). It's a weird dynamic, because there are definitely good reasons why therapists shouldn't be that close to their patients. But at the same time, he IS a mentor in the most basic sense of the word - he is training Erica for a job she will someday do - so it's hard to avoid some of that seeping in. But now that we've seen him with other patients, it's clear how much more attached he is to her.
