So... that was the finale, right? I suspect had the show not been renewed it would have ended slightly differently. As it is, I've got questions.
So, how does Peter come back from not existing to begin with?
How exactly did he cease to exist?
If Peter doesn't exist, does Peter's child exist?
What exactly do Walter, Walternate, Olivia, and Fauxlivia think happened?
What does Walternate think Walter ripped open the universe for?!
I'm so confuzzled.
Peter was sweet being so happy that Olivia was still alive though. And I did have a smile when I saw that in the future- faux future -future that'll probably not happen now... or will it? -future that Peter and Olivia were wearing wedding rings.
And for a moment I was almost faked out into thinking that Pever 'fixed it' (but if they did that what would they do next season) so it was a pretty effective twist at the end. Didn't see that particular twist coming, though it leaves me with lots of questions. Like, how does that happen anyway? (I'm thinking it may relate to that white tulip episode last year where when the timeline changed walter got the tulip from someone who doesn't exist.) But... I'm confuzzled. I'd need more sleep and downtime from work to suss this one out.

Date: 2011-05-07 02:44 am (UTC)I wonder if maybe what happened was that Peter disappearing means that Walter didn't rip the universe open, and so the timeline will resolve itself so that it fixes all the damage. But then Olivia will probably realize that something's wrong/missing and will set something in motion that brings Peter back, but also causes the universes to start disintegrating again or something.

At the end of last ep I thought Peter had maybe been pushed into yet a third universe, but instead a future-that-probably-won't-happen-but...
*head spinning* So good.
