Fanfic Musings and Other Stuff...

shipperxSo I'm still working on my nertz fic (I know! Yes, it's mumbledy-mumble months overdue, but I write as I write) and I was reviewing some of the events of the comic. Boy, I had forgotten how the story wandered all over the damn place.
The problem with insert between the lines fic is that you're trapped with the original timeline. So here I am ready to move onto the climax and... good grief, there's another arc of such and such supernatural creature attacks the slayers while Buffy is off doing something entirely different usually in dreams or alt_universes. It's really damn difficult to get to the point!
...and to the point already, I'm still reading "A Dance with Dragons" (Yeah, I know. I'm dragging it out. But that's okay, so is GRRMartin.) I'm only half way through the novel and I feel like they've had characters venturing all over the fictional planet. Interesting things happen. I've enjoyed several plot lines thus far and have had some surprises, but exactly how many boat trips is Tyrion supposed to take in one novel?
Yes, I've seen the preview pages for the "Season 9" comic. I'm not particularly inspired to comment.

Lowe's has discontinued the wood flooring that I've installed in every room of my house save one. And I had intended to do the 'one' someday. So I've ended up having to call all over the place seeing whether any Lowe's still had any in stock because not only they but the manufacturer has canceled the flooring. Luckily I was able to find enough cartons in Montgomery. I wasn't planning to buy wood flooring right now (or install it), but at least I have it in the garage now for when I am ready to install it.
