If it's any help, I saw a chart recently that shows that gun ownership has steadily declined in the last 20 years. I think the NRA is actually desperately looking to stave off declining gun ownership by stoking a certain faction to stockpile (not that THAT is a good thing, but it rather skews the sales figures. It's fewer people owning. Unfortunately , it means they have larger stashes.)
