Spring!

Technically it's spring even if it feels like early summer. Still, most everything has greened and started to bloom (except my October Glory maples for some reason.  They have buds but haven't developed full blown leaves yet.  Don't know why.)  Garden pirctures behind the cut.

The picket fence around the porch is new so that the puppy has a protected place to go outside.  The doggy door was installed the other day and the dog really enjoys it.  I still need to stain the picket fence to match the white rose trellises on the porch though.

Puppy!

Bearded Iris and "Tropicana" hybrid tea rose

"Don Juan" climbing hybrid tea

"Camoisi Superieur" antique china rose

"Clotilde Soupert" antique polyantha rose

It's really weird that the maples haven't come out considering that the leaved maples over the fence were seeded from my trees.

"Knockout" shrub roses

Puppy!  (The fur on her muzzle is turning chocolate.  Her father is listed as being chocolate)

It's all so beautiful! Your home is like a fairytale cottage. I miss living in a place that isn't, well, Texas.

The puppy, of course, is the most beautiful thing of all. I wanna snorfle her very much.

That antique roses are from the Antique Rose Emporium that's located in Texas (though I don't know which part of Texas). They're remarkably resilient.

And puppy is a dear. :)

I've been able to grow things every place else I've lived. Everything here? Killed it. *sigh*

She looks so SOFT.

Very nice! And so far along already, we're still in the daffodil and tulip stage.

Your new friend is looking good as well.

What wonderful roses. I can't imagine roses in bloom this early.

Cute puppy! And like your landscaping.

We're amazingly green here in Wisconsin, which for early April is just asking for it. We have frost warnings for the next two days. I'm hoping my lilacs make it through.

Antique roses are a garden godsend. I basically ignore them except for the February pruning.

Thanks. Antique roses are actually rather easy... which is why they're still in the yard when many others are long gone. :)

We basically had the year without a winter so we hit that stage in February.

It's been the 'year without a winter' around here so everything has come out early.

Hopefully they survived and you had lilacs at Easter!
