Finally made it home. Left work at 6:30... and I swear D------ has no life. He was still sitting there plugging away on a project that... Well, I honestly don't know what he finds to nitpick in those drawings at this point. He's been editing them for a month. If it was about getting a project out I would understand it, but I swear the guy just never wants to go home.

I'm just waiting for him to start sticking his nose in the Pell City project. When that happens we won't have a hope in hell of getting it out on time. Already he makes "suggestions" (yeah, suggested as I "do it the way I want). I still disagree about leaving the lobby open to the structure. First of all the lobby is only 24 feet wide. If we go to the structure it will be some 45 feet high. The lobby will be like some small canyon. And I suppose he's forgotten the whole "nails" incident from the last time we exposed structure. Plus there's that whole duct problem.

I still want to get ahead enough to starts the interior elevations and reflected ceiling of the lobby. Jen started it but she really doesn't understand the structure and is leaving things out. Plus I really think some furring details and up lighting will help.

Ah well... I'm home and don't have to think about that until Monday. Of course I still haven't finished the guest room. I got curious about the stuff I saw about the Benjamin Moore cd at the paint store so I went to the website and plugged in the color I painted the guest room last weekend. Boy, are the colors on the site off. The "Baby Turtle" I painted the guest room looks sort of tan on the web site whereas it's really green in the room. Luckily it does match that Indian silk that I want to make the pillow with. I do think I'm going to go back to Z Gallery and buy that other pillow. I'm sort of torn between the gold one with the taupe embroidery or the taupe one with the gold embroidery. Taupe is sort of taking over the pillows so the gold would be a nice contrast, only I wasn't really looking for gold in the guest room. Still there's the gold in the piece of Indian silk so I suppose it would go. I think the pillows need some contrast. I also still need a light fixture, the lamps for the piano, a floor lamp, and art work. And if I can get Papa to make the form for the valance I could begin upholstering it. . .only I've already spent too much on this project. It would probably be good to lay off for a while, except that I really would like the room finished up.

Ah well... the truth is, I'll probably just a be a bum all weekend and not do a damn thing. :)
