FARSCAPE REUNION: Sci Fi may never bring back Farscape as a series, but you've got to give the network credit for trying to make the cult fave's fans happy. As TV Guide Online revealed earlier this month, the cabler's suits have recruited the outstanding Ben Browder to be a new regular on Stargate SG-1, and now we can confirm that the actor's Farscape leading lady, Claudia Black, will appear in at least five episodes as a character named Vala. I hear Sci Fi is now going after Farscape's gassy Muppet, Rygel.

On a more uniformly happy note: I got Farscape Season 4 for Christmas! Yay!

Hm. Well, I think I saw Browder on a SG-1 promo last night, and I thought, "Damn! I'll have to watch this show now." I've never been able to get into it; I liked the movie, so the show seems like a pale imitation. I've never thought McGyver was cute and the guy they have in the Spader role is beyond colorless. And now Claudia's going to be on it? Oy. Cheap ploy, but it's working -- I'm going to watch.
