* So we get Kate in a bikini, but Sawyer keeps his pants on? ::pout::
* Um, Kate, doncha sorta think that the fact that there was ammunition in the suitcase could have been pertinent information before Sawyer tried to blow the whole thing open.
* Shannon is pretty.
* So is Sayid.
* Shannon/Sayid are kinda pretty together.
* Poor Merry. And that's a nasty ropeburn.
* I like Rose.
* Okay, see the thing is. Yeah, Sawyer is behaving like an ass here. But I don't think Jack is any better. Sawyer was trying to sate his own curiosity about Kate by trying to coerce her into opening the suitcase with him. And Jack was trying to sate his own curiostiy about Kate by trying to coerce her into opening the suitcase with him. I completely did not get any vibe of his having any more noble purpose than his own curiosity. (And I don't see his threat of witholding antibiotics to be better than Sawyer not admitting that he didn't have the inhalers a few weeks ago. So, again, I don't see Jack as being noble here. And that's fine except I keep getting the vibe that I'm supposed to see Jack as the pristine here. . .maybe I'm just Mutant Enemy traumatized. I no longer know whether writers are showing their heroes as flawed or whether we're just supposed to not notice when they're no better than the people we aren't supposed to like.)
* Okay, not sure what I really, really think about Kate preventing the "bad boyfriend" from killing the hostage only for her to shoot an accomplice in the chest. If this was all her plan, then she's sort of guilty of murder (admittedly I'm assuming chest wound guy wouldn't live) even if the "man she loved" that she "killed" isn't murder. Then again back to my jaded sensibilities, I just assume that writers think we aren't supposed to notice these things (Damn you, Joss, for making me this suspcious about writers and hypocrisy with characters.)
* Not really moved to tears by Kate's sobs about killing "the man she loved" {tm}
* Shannon has a pretty voice. And her look after Boone left... the actress may possibly have potential.
* Heh! Shannon asking Boone whether Locke was his "new boyfriend" -- NEW? As in there may have been an old one? (Admittedly, part of my amusement about that is the actors horror upon discovering that his character is currently being written in a wide variety of slash. Though, honestly, Boone's attraction escapes me. Now, SAYID on the other hand...)

Date: 2005-01-06 05:53 pm (UTC)I think Kate and Sawyer have more chemistry than Kate and Jack, but I have no emotional investment in either 'ship. And I definitely find Locke the most interesting character, even if he does turn out to be eeeevil.

Date: 2005-01-06 06:43 pm (UTC)And yes, if there has to be a 'ship, Kate and Sawyer have much more chemistry than Jack and anyone. Because Jack? Is dull.
And, man, I really need to get a Lost icon.
