Kitten Update
Jan. 25th, 2010 05:27 pmWell, it took all day and he had to sedate her (because she totally flipped out on him. Poor baby hates the vet), but after all the tests and bloodwork, he couldn't find anything. He said that all of her bloodwork came back as excellent. That there were no tumors, no elevated indicators of anything in the blood tests, no signs of infection, nothing he could see wrong with her neurologically (other than the balance issues), etc. That she appeared to be 'amazingly healthy' for her age. And her symptoms appeared to be even less today (at least they were this morning. IMHO they're significant this evening, but then she's been drugged all day so she generally isn't herself) Maybe she had a virus or something over the weekend. Unless she sickens or exhibits more symptoms, he really didn't find anything wrong with her (which cost me $150). When I googled her symptoms the other night there were a couple of difficult to diagnose viruses that could cause the symptoms, but neither of which had any treatment, I suppose I mark it down to old age or a virus unless the symptoms grow worse or she actually starts to appear sick in some way. Poor thing had a miserable day. She HATES the vet (and at the moment... people).
So ::fingers crossed:: hopefully it'll pass and she'll be fine. If it's something he can't find, then there probably isn't much he could do anyway.
