Cool Money
Mar. 19th, 2005 10:51 pmHarmless movie if a bit bland and dull. JM still very pretty (though I wish he had more hair) and still very appealing. Would have liked to see him in a role that was a bit more edgy, but he gave an appealing performance (thought he had more chemistry with the woman he almost picked up in the bar than with his "wife.") And I hope someone does screen caps because I think there could be some pretty shots.
All in all, the movie was okay though nothing to write home about, and JM is still talented and needs something to showcase that because I'd really like to see that.
Other things today:
Hmm... all I can say is that I'm a damn good sister. First my sister woke me up on my day off yesterday by calling and asking me to drive her and her kids to the airport. Then, she woke me again this morning by calling and saying that she'd forgotten that next Sunday was Easter (you can tell we're a really religious family, can't you.) Since they wouldn't be back until late next Saturday night she begged me to go out and do Easter Bunny shopping so that my neice Lexie would have the Easter Bunny deliver. So, I headed out and bought stuffed chicks and bunnies, lots of chocolate, jelly-bellys, and peeps.
I'm also a good daughter because my mother called wanting me to buy paint and ship it to her (yeah you read that right) for her kitchen.
I also managed some shopping for myself. Macy's had a clearance sale and I got $119 cashmere sweater for $20 bucks and some change. Woohoo!
Also watched DVDs (okay, I guess I was busy today). Watched Timeline. Zzzzzz. I had read the book. It was about the same as the movie, though they had changed some of the stuff regarding how the time travel worked. (There was no black hole involved in the book). Still the movie was boring. Also watched. Lost In Translation. Also a bit of a snoozer. It sort of lazily meanders around. There are interesting parts and nice character bits. But not exactly a lot of plot (or resolution for that matter). Enjoyable but I'm rather glad I never bothered to see it in the theater.
Finally... I think I've become addicted to coffee-lite, sugar-free vanilla frappacinos at Starbucks. Really addicted.

Date: 2005-03-20 05:06 pm (UTC)And I actually found an even better deal on another cashmere sweater (I scanned it three times because I couldn't believe the $175 OFF), but I didn't get it because it was a grey-ish boucle sweater which, I really probably wouldn't wear much. So I put it back. The one I bought was lime green. I figure that it was still there and marked so far down because it was lime green. But, hey, I wear lime green so yay me. :)

Yes, you are an excellent sister and daughter and God rewarded you with the Macy's sweater. Woo hoo indeed.
Cool Money still better than The Mountain & Winding Roads Of course, a sharp stick in the eye would be better than those.
