I suppose it's a sign that you're well and truly over a particular pairing when you read spoilers that the husband is being killed off and, though vaguely sad (I stopped watching ages ago), your first thought is "I'm glad he dies saving his daughter and doesn't sacrifice himself for his awful 'wife' who doesn't give a shit about him."

And I was once a huge shipper of this pairing!

(It doesn't help that the actress playing the wife made a massive disgrace of herself on twitter last week with an insufferably smug evangelical post about her going to Chik-Fil-A on Hate Day. The fandom backlash she's receiving for that is considerable.)
