And he's betting big.
The boxer reportedly has placed nearly a $3 million bet on No. 8 Michigan to cover the spread against No. 2 Alabama on Saturday night in Arlington, Texas.
The Wolverines are 14-point underdogs.
Mayweather is from Grand Rapids, Mich.
This news comes from the International Business Times.
According to a USA Today report, Mayweather bet more than $2.9 million in nine different Las Vegas sportsbooks.
Reportedly 69 percent of the bettors on sportsbook.ag have put their money on Alabama.
