A Dog's Life

Back from vacation. My mom took me to the beach with her. Had great fun. Ran circles on the golf course! Watched lots of ducks and seagulls and even a crane or two. Oh and there was this big pelican one day...
Had a nice view of a lagoon and the bay from the deck of the townhouse.
And sometimes, at night, I'd sneak downstairs to disturb gran and papa.
They're cool about it, though.
My mom took me on a nature walk on Jolee Island, but they had posted pictures of all sorts of snakes to "beware of" and that was more than she could handle (she hates snakes). So we went on the boardwalked nature walk the next day. She did say she saw a snake in the neighborhood where we were staying. She gasped and pulled me away, and I never saw the snake.
On the last day, we had to pack but mom and gran and papa took me with them to brunch at "The Broken Egg" where we ate on the portico and the restaurant staff allowed me on the portico. Mom says I was very good. I didn't wander around, was quite polite to strangers, and never barked. I also got bits of ham and bacon under the table!
Then came the long drive home, and I didn't throw up even once!
It was my very first vacation and I enjoyed it a great deal! Arf.
