Oh TWOP. You so funny.
Jan. 8th, 2013 09:11 pmSo a day after a television show aired, they had no thread open for thread and the old thread was locked. So I messaged the mod to nudge. The mod sent back a snippy, 'I explained why the thread was locked in the Q&A thread.'
Huh. IT was locked until the new episode aired, which wasn't the issue as I sent the message during lunch the day after it had aired when there was still no thread and after TWOP itself had posted a recap that linked to the forum that only contained the old locked thread.
Now, there's an episode thread that was not there when I sent the message during lunch the day AFTER the episode aired. Which, fine, but the mod went to the bother of backdating it to midnight the day before it aired, which, I'm sorry, isn't at all convincing since the first post in that backdated thread is dated two hours AFTER my message to the mod that there was no open thread for the show. Why the snarky 'Read the Q&A' response (repeated twice) rather than just apologizing for having forgotten about the forum? And why try to pretend there were threads open in the folder when there weren't?
Oh TWOP, never stop being jerks. If you did, you wouldn't have a site identity.

Date: 2013-01-09 07:57 pm (UTC)The last time I commented there was to criticize a previously good sitcom I thought had degenerated into facile TV rom-com tropes, and the mod edited my post heavily and sent a snippy DM telling me I "couldn't state sweeping opinion as fact." Of course, in the next thread longstanding commenters were doing that very thing with impunity.
In short, they suck rocks over there.
