I go back and forth on how badly it plays. I think I don't mind the idea of it -- which is something close to what Maggie expresses (that there is an impasse that simply can't be resolved). I think it still could have used a few more drafts to get that across properly.

I agree though that as it stands, it's not terrible character assassination. There is worse. And yeah, Twangel.

I agree on Dorotea in reality, and it's certainly true that her attacks on other characters make her being cornered in on Angel not all that sympathetic. I can sympathize with the idea of it though, hard to be an Angel fan right now.
