Most of the time my dog, like most dogs, completely ignores the television.  However, there is one time when my dog consistently notices the TV -- when there are horses on it!

It's the weirdest thing!

The  most notable moment was the time I was watching War Horse. There was this scene where the horse was galloping across the screen and out of frame and my dog ran up to the screen and when it ran out of frame, she ran to the window adjacent to the TV and continued looking for it.  (What?  Where did it go!  It ran this way.  I saw it!).

Last night during Game of Thrones guess the things that caught her attention?  Sandor Clegane and Arya galloping away from The Twins, and later when it was Jon Snow on horseback.   Again she ran up to the TV, standing on tippy-toes looking at the horsies.

And tonight, while watching The Borgias -- AGAIN!  Just when there was a series of horses on screen jangling along such that you heard the clatter of bits and saddles, she ran up and started barking at the TV.

There's just something about horses.

LOL! Maybe I should watch fewer costume dramas. :D

The time with War Horse was especially hysterical because she kept looking and looking out the window. You could tell she was very "But I SAW it! It went this way. Where IS IT?!" LOL!

If I were you, I'd have rewound to play that scene again. For scientific purposes, of course. *nods*

Funny!

We have a cat who likes to watch TV, but her favorite thing seems to be the news. No joke! She'll stare at the screen and you can see her eyes darting back and forth (indicating that she's actually paying attention to what's on the screen).

That is hilarious. My cat is fascinated by anything that moves on my computer screen. It makes typing a little difficult sometimes. *g*

Oh that's funny! I had a dog who used to go nuts over anyone on rollerblades (back when people rollerbladed, haha). But nothing to do with the TV, except whenever there'd be barking or sirens which caused all kinds of confusion.

Hee! The only time Bo ever notices is if there are dogs barking on the screen. Once, and I've forgotten what we were watching, a whole bunch of dogs started barking and he jumped up, ears perked, and started barking back!

My dog LOVES to watch Too Cute (on Animal Planet). Especially the episodes with puppies. Other than that she couldn't care less about what we're watching except that we are not paying attention to her. :)

My cats pay attention to the TV only for doorbells and monkeys.
