Summer TV is Boring

Summer TV is (for the most part) boring. You end up searching the ends of the cable channels for something to watch.

Recently I've been watching Comedy Central's "Drunk History." If you haven't seen it, they find/get someone blotto drunk then have them tell a 'historical' story. Then they bring in actors to dress up and act out/lip sync this hilariously drunken explanation of a historical event.

You are right...television this summer has been boring. I've been entertained with tv shows that were either on prior to the summer (Scandal, Orphan Black, Defiance) or tv shows that ended at the beginning of it - Falling Skies, Mad Men, Game of Thrones.

True Blood has even been dull. Too much death, too serious, not enough humor.

Ugh. Can't wait until end of Sept/Oct - fun shows please.

The first one is pretty hilarious in its full context, but Comedy Central hasn't posted the entire episode yet so this was basically a trailer (that cut off immediately before one of the best jokes in the bit).

There are whole bunch of these online because apparently, before this got picked up by Comedy Central, it had been being made for "Funny or Die" (forewarn though, some of these people are seriously drunk. The guy telling the Ben Franklin story online had to take a break -- more than once -- to puke.

It is funny the times that the storyteller ends up laying down on the floor (which happens a lot!)

The one telling the Alamo story ended up asleep by the 'end'. LOL.
