Bringing Jamie and Brienne back to the castle prior to Joffrey's wedding to Margery is such a huge detour from the books - that I'm actually excited for this season. Because that could change how various sections play out, and provide more interaction between various characters.
Also, it may get rid of some of the items in Feast of Crows and A Dance of Dragons - that I found frustrating.
Whoa, thanks for this. I'm so disillusioned with most TV that I'd totally forgotten this is coming up soon.
And watching it, I find that the deaths of Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister cannot come fast enough for me because I absolutely HATE Kit Harrington and Lena Headey as actors. Bleh. However, looking forward to more Coster-Waldau, Clarke, Christie and Maisie Williams because they all rule so hard in this. Yay.
I'm actually looking forward to the bits that will depart from the books (and I was quite amused by how squicked the actor who plays Bastard Bolton was about what his character did to Theon).
And, with the Olympics and everything, absolutely nothing is on TV at the moment. I think it's part of what's been playing into my romance novel binge.
