I need new/better Sleepy Hollow icons.

Anyway, casting news from TVGuide:

Timothy Busfield has landed a recurring role on Sleepy Hollow.

The West Wing actor will play Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. {ME: That should be fun}

"Not a lot of people have actually played Ben Franklin, and the more I learn about him and read about him, he's a really fun guy," Busfield told the magazine. "He's a writer, and I love how that informs his mind."

And, general show news from EW.com:

If the first season of Sleepy Hollow left you wanting a little more, you’ll love what Fox has planned for season 2.

The breakout supernatural-historical thriller will produce at least 15 episodes for its sophomore season, with producers currently preparing for a potential total of 18 episodes. That’s well above the 13-episode order for season one.

The move gives producers more leeway to tell an ambitious story {...}

We look at this series as epic and every episode as needing to be epic,” Goffman says. “Every episode needs to be an adventure, and something mind blowing has to happen to our characters, with major revelations that move the story forward. We still approach it with that in mind. The more episodes you do, the harder that becomes, but I feel we are still at level where we can maintain that pace.”

Ooh! I'm planning on re-watching the episodes I've seen and binge watching the ones I haven't this summer so I'm ready for season 2! Any word on when the DVD will be out?

Oh, interesting news re Tim Busfield as Franklin! His old Thirtysomething costar Ken Olin must have pulled some strings. :)

Ben always did seem to be the Founding Father you'd most like to have a beer with (if I liked beer, which I don't. But we're pretty assured that Ben Franklin and Sam Adams did...)

I think this is well cast and Ben Franklin should be amusing as the actual Ben did have a sly senes of humor (and an eye for the ladies).
