Two tidbits picked up from TVGuide:

JAKE RYAN ALERT!: Paging Michael Schoeffling! Molly Ringwald is in talks to finally make a sequel to her biggest hit, 16 Candles. "I've turned it down for years," she tells the Associated Press. "[But having read a good screenplay for the project], now it seems right." Of course, since the carrot-topped former ingenue is now 37 years old, shouldn't the title be changed to something more reflective of her age? Four-Alarm Fire, maybe?

TAKE OFF YOUR LAB COAT AND STAY AWHILE: As reported in next week's TV Guide magazine, Nip/Tuck is adding Bruno Campos to its cast as a regular in the coming season. As fans of the FX drama will recall, he debuted late last season as Dr. Quentin Costa, the plastic surgeon who fixed Doc McNamara's slashed face. Maybe now Campos will be able to live down Jesse. Huh.  Guess it's "How to revitalize your career by making thirty-something movies of your teen flicks."  Not long ago swsa mentioned that they're also making a sequel to "Pretty in Pink" (no doubt to be named "The Revenge of Duckie" >:) 

And the sad thing is, I want to see these! When's the Big Chill Reunion of The Breakfast Club?

And WHEN does Nip/Tuck start?  Summer needs some good TV and I'm still dying from Season 2's cliffhanger.  Poor Christian is going to be so incredibly messed up!

FYI, the Pretty in Pink sequel thing was totally a fake - can't remember where I read that it was just an unfounded rumor, but it was. I was very relieved. Duckie should be in my imagination.

But, DUDE, these days, Farmer Ted is more buff than Jake Ryan! That just ain't right.

(btw, while typing the word "buff", I had to correct it 3 times. I'm almost incapable of typing buff without adding on the "y")

LOL! I know. It's just that Farmer Ted was actually a bigger part of the movie than Jake whose job was really to mostly stand there and be dream guy. :)
